The Raven voice thread

Here is my first attempt at making a Digital Story using voicethread. I actually got a little frustrated with VT at the beginning, as it wasn't as user friendly as it pretends to be, but eventually I got the hang of it. I decided to read the poem, The Raven by Edgar Allan Poe and put pictures to it. I thought it would go nicely with my Poe unit that I created for the last assignment. I also thought it would be a good way to help my students visualize a poem that is not always easy to understand. I think it turned out okay, but I did have to skip a few stanzas because it was getting a little long. Hope you enjoy it!

I can see a lot of ways that teachers can employ visual story telling in their classrooms. For an English teacher like myself, I think that it'll be a great way for students to bring their literature and creative writing to life. I will most definitely be using this in the future, but I might explore other visual story telling sites to see which ones are the most user friendly.
